This month we’ll be cooking from and discussing Edna Lewis’s “The Taste of Country Cooking”, a treasured cookbook that changed the course of American cuisine. Lewis was a renowned African American chef, teacher and author who helped redefine the American view of Southern cooking. Edna’s recipes reflect her country-style seasonal cooking with a focus on fresh, in-season ingredients.
The Tablespoon Chefs will supplement the meal with additional sides and pair them with great wines throughout the meal. All you have to do is bring your favorite dish from the book and show up ready to eat, drink, and have fun!
